"High Pressure Hydraulic Hose Qualification"
By Barry Catanach
Qualifications have an important role in the field of fluid power systems and associated components. Today's industry is rapidly changing; workers and contractors need to ensure that their qualifications and skills are nationally recognised.
For hose assemblers and associated personnel there is the Certificate II level in Engineering.
What is it?
A Certificate II level in Engineering - Fluid Power High Pressure Hose Assembler (HPHA) course was developed for national accreditation in 2000/20001. This qualification is designed to provide:
- a level of knowledge
- competency
- a pathway for further education
- standards for the fluid power industry.
Also, the Certificate II level in Engineering aligns to the MDG41 requirement for underground mines.
